North London Collegiate School HCMC is delighted to announce that Ms Gemma McCarron has assumed the role of Head of Junior School. With her exceptional expertise as an international educator, she brings over 18 years of invaluable teaching and leadership experience from both the UK and Asia. She is currently undertaking the prestigious National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) accredited by England’s Department for Education.
Her teaching career has spanned across both the UK and international settings, where she has held Senior Leadership roles as well as significant teaching and learning responsibilities at a number of world-class schools, including the Berrymede Junior School and St Peter’s Primary School in the UK, St. Andrews International School and Harrow International School in Bangkok and as the Founding Head of School at Bangkok’s leading play-based school, The Apple Tree International Kindergarten.
In 2022, Ms McCarron joined NLCS HCMC as Deputy Head of Junior School, where she spearheaded day-to-day operations and curriculum development and instilled a learning environment centred around pastoral care. Having been recognised for her remarkable talents and dedication, Gemma was appointed as Head of Junior School in 2023, entrusted with the overall leadership and management of the Junior School. Her unwavering commitment to her role ensures that our students receive an ambitious NLCS education, priming them for success in the 21st century.
